View with a Room

Creating a sense of calm and preserving outward views was a key component of these garden spaces. Located in the Litchfield hills of northwest CT, this space also relied on the use of local materials and detailing that married a more contemporary vibe with a more traditional home.

Both cut granite and natural granite flagstone were used - cut stone where needed around the pools, and more rustic layouts at the pergola - to offer variety and interest. Metal gate details a reclaimed cobble driveway also add interest and a sense of connection to the local landscape.  As the lake was key to the design, the pool and hot tub were created to step down ones view to the lake - water on water on water makes for a great view!
