Retro Remodel
This 70’s era home had some great strong lines and architecturally was more about itself as an object as it was about dancing with the landscape and the nature around the home. Here we needed to create spaces for entertaining and also reconnect the house to the grounds. A lot of that work consisted of clearing out trees to open up the new spaces to light and views. In these spaces we cut through the stone wings that divided up the site and matched the stone veneer to create some new walls that extended the architecture out into the landscape and in the process made some new outdoor rooms. A few fun details: Custom designed dining table. Custom fire pit. Custom spa with waterfall. And yes, the spa does indeed change color, we had to hit that 70’s vibe somehow…
